HAYGAIN can pay for itself within a year

Hopefully by now, many of you have heard of HAYGAIN. But if you haven’t, it is a system that steams hay. Sound silly? Well that is what I first thought, but being the proud owner of a horse with severe allergies, my suspicions were quickly eliminated. The system will end up completely sanitizing the hay, getting rid of all dust, mold, and spores. This is great for horses who have any sort of allergy, or respiratory problem. Many of you may think that if you water down your hay, it will do the same thing. But in reality, if your horse’s condition is serious enough, nothing but pure sanitization will help your loved ones.  So by now you are probably wondering what the cost of this wonderful machine is. Well your instincts would be correct. It is a pricey penny.

Well Recently, I was emailed by HAYGAIN about a certain testimonial that they received and within the testimonial, they discussed the economic benefits of HAYGAIN. For many of you, I believe this will be quite an interesting read.

The testimonial is (more…)

HAYGAIN Hay Steamers is proud to announce that Blame, who is fed HAYGAIN steamed hay, won the $5 Million WorldChampionship 2010 Breeders’ Cup Classic race Saturday night.

Blame, Clint Joiner, and HayGain

Blame stole the show on Saturday, November 6 at Churchill Downs when he beat the heavy favorite Zenyatta by inches to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic title.

In what could be argued as one the most historical and important races of this generation, all eyes were on Zenyatta, the 6-year old mare who entered the race with a perfect track record of 19-0. A victory for Zenyatta would have given her a second  Breeders’ Cup Classic title, and made her the first horse to be undefeated in 20 starts in over a century.

Against these odds, Blame, a late-runner like Zenyatta, shocked viewers when he overtook the competition in mid-stretch, and in the final seconds of the race, secured the victory by a head. Blame ran the 1-1/4 mile dirt track in 2:02.28 and paid $12.40 for the last race of his career.

“It was a photo finish, as it should be in a race of this magnitude, with mere inches separating the two horses at the wire,” reflects Clint Joiner, Director of HAYGAIN North America. “So do we “blame” the win on HAYGAIN? The trainer, Al Stall, Jr., seems to point to it as a natural edge for the horse and has committed to put all of his horses in training on the product.” Blame is owned by Adele B. Dilschneider and Claiborne Farm of Kentucky.

“There is no doubt that Zenyatta will go down in history as one of the best horses to walk onto a track,” Joiner adds. “She brought so much attention to the industry and was great for the sport of horse racing. Blame and Zenyatta are now both retired. They finished their careers with style, class and on top of their game.”

On behalf of the HAYGAIN team, congratulations to Blame, Jockey Garrett Gomez, trainer Al Stall, Jr. and to Blame’s owners on a magnificent performance at the Breeders’ Cup!

Mandurah breaks world record.

World records in the thoroughbred race horse industry are not broken every day. MANDURAH did it in dramatic fashion on the turf (first time he had raced on turf) over the 1 mile track at Monmouth Park in New Jersey.

His trainer, Grant Forster, feels that the HAYGAIN steamed hay has been beneficial to the horse since putting him on it in February of this year. We tried to get a comment from MANDURAH, but he was busy chomping on his HAYGAIN steamed hay and appeared to have little time for us
